EMC Lifestyles -Marmora -Each month the Sacred Heart School community celebrates with a Good News Assembly, the most recent one being held in the gym on January 26. Each month a theme is highlighted, some examples being hope, respect, empathy and conscience. The student in each class who best exemplifies the attribute is recognized.

One student from each class at Sacred Heart School was recognized during the January 26 Good News Assembly for best demonstrating the January theme, which was self-control. Shown with their certificates are, in the back row, Mary O'Connor, Lachlan McLean and Treyton Finch. Rebekah Williamson, Avery McCoy and Braeden Cassidy are in front.
One by one, the classroom teachers pointed to the characteristics they felt related to January's theme, which was self-control, then presented the chosen student with a certificate.
Some of the points mentioned by the teachers in connection with the theme included using kind words, being patient with classmates, listening, controlling one's words, hands and feet, showing leadership, and being responsible.
The lively assembly involved recognition of all the birthdays which had taken place in January and included art awards, a recycling award for the classroom doing the best job in that area, as well as French and spirit awards.
