EMC Lifestyles -Marmora - Several times each year, on the first Monday of the month, women from the five local churches gather for time together. Whether they involve a speaker, music, food, or all three, as was the case on January 30, the meetings provide time for reflection and fellowship.

Amanda Edwards and her mother, Dena McPhail, provided both music and a thought provoking address during a January 30 gathering of women from the five local churches which was held at Marmora Free Methodist Church.
During the most recent get-together, held at Marmora Free Methodist Church, Dena McPhail and her daughter, Amanda Edwards, were welcomed as the presenters. McPhail delivered a talk which at times was inspirational, while at others, both poignant and amusing.
Her address was preceded and followed by heartfelt music provided by Edwards, who sang, accompanying herself on the piano for one piece, and with backup music for another.
Following the formal part of the session, which took place in the body of the church, the women headed downstairs where they enjoyed a lunch of homemade chili, broccoli soup and apple crisp, all of which had been prepared by a group of parishioners.
